Former Vogue Australia staffers Anna Hewett and Lil Boyd have slowly guided their swimsuit range from itsy, bitsy teeny weeny bikinis to styles suitable for a broader range of figures. The Bikini Club collection was inspired by teddy boys and rockabillys and bettys. The volume of the swimsuits was quieter, however, than The Cramps soundtrack with plunging paneled pieces in peach, black and pink designed to accommodate fuller figures while boys board shorts with a shorter cut were made with faded linens. Having been picked up by department store David Jones, the girls have also moved into cover-ups with cool shirt dresses in denim and loose pants with blackbird prints. Anna & Boy are finally looking beyond Bondi and creating pieces perfect for St Tropez or Tootgarook.
