Day 3 of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week was filled with a little fun and a whole lot of fabulous fashion. Following in the footsteps of international catwalks where sheer fabrics were in excess from Christian Dior to Balenciaga, RAFW saw sheer fabrics dominating the runways where the fashion faithful are preparing for a sexy season of subtle and no-so-subtle reveals.

While Manning Cartel chose soft and flowing floor length pieces for their first few looks. RAFW blogger Matthew Paroz described this collection as "sheer, but not as we know it"."Ripped-up, moth-eaten textures leave little to the imagination but are a tougher take on the trend," said Paroz.

Kate Sylvester also upped the ante for her collection yesterday, where floral corsages sweetened the sexiness of sheer layers.

At Alice McCall, applique detail saw an otherwise sheer tight-fitting mini dress maintain some modesty.
