Couture Wedding Designers Set For A Big Year!

With Lilly Allen in Paris visiting Lagerfeld and Kate Middleton making visits to McQueen's Sarah Burton, it seems the question everyone is wondering is will Galliano still design for Kate Moss?

Kate Moss in Paris for Fashion Week. Who will design her wedding dress? Lily Allen’s in Paris getting her wedding dress made by Karl Lagerfeld. The British songstress was the first poptart to land a Chanel campaign—before her it was A-list actors. Her wedding to fiance Sam Cooper is scheduled for mid-June. If you’ll recall, Allen wandered around Coco Chanel’s apartment wasted one night, and bumped into Lagerfeld. While it was reported that Lagerfeld was not down with Allen’s party girl image, she later explained that her drunken antics actually got her the Chanel gig in the first place. Allen was briefly the face of Chanel’s Coco Cocoon handbag line, and also performed at Chanel’s spring 2010 show back in October of 2009.

Meanwhile, royal wedding speculation won’t slow down. This weekend the British press reported that Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton was working on Kate Middleton’s dress for her April nuptials to Prince William. The royal family issued a statement denying the claims but that doesn’t mean much. Middleton’s said she wants the dress to be a surprise to William and the family won’t confirm anything before the ceremony.

And lastly, what was very exciting news—that John Galliano was to design Kate Moss’ wedding dress for her marriage to Jamie Hince—is now, we assume, not so set in stone. With Galliano in rehab and headed to court to stand trial for making racist remarks, Moss is probably in need of a new couturier. And she’s in Paris, the supermodel was spotted at last night’s party for Yves Saint Laurent at the Trianon in Montmartre.
