Ricky Gervais takes centre stage tonight hosting the Golden Globes, though we all know the eyes are always on the fashion. We take a look back at the top picks for 2011.

The awards season kicks off tonight with the 2012 Golden Globes ceremony, presented by comedian Ricky Gervais, but the real question is who will be best dressed for 2012? 

Our votes are in for Diane Kruger, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Biel, Michelle Williams, Olivia Wilde and Sofia Vergara. If last year is any indication of what to expect tonight, then we are definitely in for a stylish treat. Here is a look back at last year's best dressed looks on the 2011 Golden Globes red carpet.

First up is Angelina Jolie who showed that one doesn't have to show too much skin to be sexy. The glamorous star nabbed a best dressed spot in a stunning green Atelier Versace grown, teamed with Ferragamo heels, Robert Procop jewels and flawless makeup.

Emma Stone took the winning minimalist award for her simple, yet elegant open-backed peach Calvin Klein collection dress, sun kissed blond locks, accessorised with Ferragamo heels and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.

Sandra Bullock showed off new bangs with in a pink, embroidered Jenny Packham gown, accessorised with Jimmy Choo heels, an Irit Design cuff and a metallic clutch.

Mila Kunis made us look twice with her stunning emerald green Vera Wang Gown, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Judith Leiber clutch and fabuolous Yves Saint Laurent shoes. 

Sofia Vergara never goes wrong in Vera Wang. The actress rocked a sexy, red, belted Vera Wang gown, accessorised with David Webb jewels.

Michelle Williams showed off her flower love in a flower-embellished Valentino gown, paired with Christian Louboutin heels and Fred Leighton jewels.

Last, but not least, Olivia Wilde floated on the red carpet in a luxe brown Marchesa gown, paired with gold Christian Louboutin booties, a Judith Leiber clutch and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

It's the Golden Globes so we are expecting a few fantastic frocks tonight. Whether the red carpet is full of all black or color or blazing red dresses, we'll be reporting back with the best and worst dressed for 2012.
