It's the biggest red carpet event of the year and for stars attending the Academy Awards this Sunday the biggest question is: "What should I wear?"

Nominees such as Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Annette Bening and Amy Adams - as well as other high profile attendees - from Sarah Jessica Parker, to Emma Watson and Angelina Jolie - are faced with the same question each year: "Should I wear what's expected, or break the fashion mould and risk the worst dressed list?" 

Natalie Portman

She's said she wants to avoid looking like a whale in public, but it'll be worth parading her belly down the red carpet for the Oscars! Besides, after the Golden Globes' gorgeous Viktor & Rolf gown we can't wait to see what she chooses next time. Best Actress: Black Swan

A favorite of almost everyone's at the Globes, where she wore Marchesa, we're rooting for the 14-year-old True Grit star to continue her streak and make jaws drop at the Oscars. Best Supporting Actress: True Grit

Jennifer Lawrence

Also in the spotlight, Scarlett Johansson and Russell Brand have reportedly agreed to present at this year's Academy Awards. Oscar telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced that the stars would appear on the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Other celebrities due to present at the Oscars include Robert Downey Jr, Hugh Jackman, Annette Bening, Jude Law, Reese Witherspoon and Oprah Winfrey. James Franco and Anne Hathaway will host the awards show, which will air tonight.
