Rihanna was announced as the global new face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans in July replacing Megan Fox, in favour of curves.
Sexy images have been released of singing sensation Rihanna modelling as the new face and body of Armani. The fashion house confirmed the singer would replace Megan Fox for its upcoming campaign - rumour has it Armani was not happy with Fox's thin physique after it's last campaign.
The Barbados-born singer has not only triumphed in the pop music world, but also in fashion capturing the attention of many established designer brands, including Australia's own We Are Handsome.
The campaign, shot in New York by photographer Steven Klein, sees Rihanna posing seductively in a number of sultry lingerie pieces in the back of a vintage car. "The concept was based on a classic film noir, giving it a contemporary twist – sexy, yet sophisticated,” said Armani in a statement to news.
''I realised that I actually like my body, I just feel sexy. For the first time, I don't want to get rid of the curves. My body is comfortable, and it's not unhealthy, so I'm going to rock with it."
It remains unclear if Rihanna will return for a second season with Armani. Victoria Beckham was kept by Emporio Armani for two seasons. Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Rafael Nada are among other previous celebrity spokespersons for the label.
Over the weekend, reports claimed that Rihanna will also served as a guest judge on the upcoming season of The X Factor (Fox). Rihanna served as a judge on the finale of the British X-Factor last season.
