A recipe for disaster or a sign of real love, even celebrity couples succumb to February 14th's romantic allure.
Adriana Lima: In 2006, Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima confessed to GQ that she was still a virgin. “Sex is just for after marriage,” she told the magazine. So presumably her fiancé, NBA player Marko Jaric, had an extra incentive for eloping on February 14, 2009, and marrying Lima. The couple have a daughter named Valentina.
Salma Hayek: In 2009, the 42-year-old actress spent February 14 marrying her boyfriend, Francois-Henri Pinault, in Paris. (The couple already had a daughter named, appropriately enough, Valentina.)
Meg Ryan: The actress wed Dennis Quaid on February 14, 1991. But after 10 years (and one son), the couple’s marriage ended amid mutual claims of infidelity.
Harrison Ford: Having dated Harrison Ford for seven years, Calista Flockhart was reportedly surprised when he asked her to marry him on Valentine’s Day 2009. The couple are still very much together.
Britney Spears: If at first you don’t succeed, marry, marry again. Britney Spears will say “I do” for the third time tomorrow and wed her longtime boyfriend (and former manager) Jason Trawick (image below). The couple will reportedly exchange vows on February 14 on the island of Maui.
Vince Vaughn: On February 14, 2009, the 39-year-old Vaughn popped the question to his girlfriend of a year and a half, Kyla Weber. “Valentine's Day rolled around and I figured this is not a ship to be missed,"
Sharon Stone: Married Phil Bronstein on February 14, 1998. Five years later the couple divorced.
