Minimal whites, bold colours and a hefty dose of '70s sensibility — has us all excited for the season. Once you take in the energy of the season's looks, we think you'll react as we did: eager to indulge in a season of vibrant colours, pristine white, feminine prints, masculine cuts and 70s chic...guaranteed to expand your wardrobe in the most wonderful way.
COLOUR: Forget any shade that is dusty or muted. Spring is all about the bolder the better. But what really sets these colours apart, is their unexpected combinations. Pink, orange and deep purple; turquoise and mustard yellow; lime and emerald green. It's this palette of knockout hues that creates such a range of riveting contrasts.
FLORAL: You can pick your own bouquet - whether its romantic blossoms in silk satin, a tribute to the English countryside; or deeply rooted in the aestheticism of the East, with dark backgrounds featuring prints of oversized blooms.
MENSWEAR TAILORING: Think wide blazers, white shirts and loose pants. This look is at its sexiest when a little rumpled up.
WHITE: Designers had such a passion for purity that many began their Spring runway shows with outfits that looked crafted from clouds. Dolce & Gabbana used white almost exclusively, concluding their presentation with a striking lingerie-clad army of models (see below). White is definitely the fresh choice of the season.

A TRIBUTE TO THE 70s: Floppy hats, turbans, safari jackets, jumpsuits and platforms. Rarely has a retro trend come roaring back so literally. Inspired by last year's Yves Saint Laurent retrospective in Paris, designers mined the styles of this decade for their inherent optimism.
LACE: From sweetly pretty day dresses to sensual see-through gowns and blouses, need we say more!
SPORTY: Racing stripes, primary colours, weightless ease. All the best parts of athletic wear have been crafted into shapes much hipper than any tracksuit jogging down the street. The comfort level can't be better in these relaxed looks that are just right for spring.
