This season we've seen plenty of swimwear inspiration on the runways. So pick a style from below and 'arrive' at your holiday destination.

Eye-Popping Colour: Acid brights supply the party with an eye-catching pick-up this spring/summer 2011 and provide the perfect base for your Summer wardrobe. 

Skin Tones: Look out, also, for bikinis in flesh and neutral tones to show off your tan on day three.

Stripes: This spring/summer 2011, classic stripes provide a fantastic springboard for your seaside wardrobe.  This summer's nautical-inspired bikinis are given fresh energy in bright orange or yellow hoops.

Florals: Floral swimwear on the catwalk ranged from the subtlest hints at Thakoon to the eye-catching one-pieces at Antonio Marras. At Nanette Lepore and Peter Som, traditional high-waisted bikinis got an injection of fun when covered in neon flowers but, for the definitive British take on this trend, look to D&G - where Liberty-style prints lent an understated chic to both swimwear and cover ups.

Classic Style: This season is all about a classic shape, a one-piece or a high-waisted bikini, accessorised with wedges and a straw hat - as seen at Prada and Marc Jacobs. This means the only decision you have to make is which pattern you are going to pick.

70s Glam: Retro references that called to mind the beach side glamour of starlets from the Sixties and Seventies as designers were inspired by the refined glamour of Brigitte Bardot, Jerry Hall and Marissa Berenson.

Cover-Ups: It's all about the Maxi!...and don't forget a giant sun hat.
