THE curtains fell on Milan Fashion Week last night with designers and models glamming-up for a black tie gala at La Permanente to benefit amfAR, the American Foundation for Aids Research.
“It seems like the whole city is coming back to life again,” said Dean Caten, one of the designers of Dsquared, who presented a spring collection only 12 hours before. “It took us half an hour to get here with the traffic.”
Roberto Cavalli, who was celebrating 40 years of his label, Francesca Versace, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Erin Wasson and Chanel Iman were among the guests, joined by the Diane Von Furstenberg.
Ms. Von Furstenberg also designed a BMW Mini for the auction. The even raised over 1 million euros for charity.
