Teese took to the catwalk on Wednesday as part of designer Jean-Paul Gaultier's show during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Burlesque performer Dita Von Teese appeared on the catwalk this week for Jean Paul Gaultier's Autumn/Winter 2010 Haute Couture collection at Paris Fashion Week. The brunette flew to France to take part in Jean Paul Gaultier's extravagant show on Wednesday, which featured models smoking and playing violins on the runway.

The biggest surprise came when Von Teese emerged in a slinky black dress, which she slowly peeled off to reveal a striking black skeleton-style corset and stockings. Appropriately, Jean-Paul Gaultier will soon unveil his own high end lingerie collection in collaboration with La Perla.

Teese reappeared at the end of the show, winking at Gaultier as she accompanied him down the catwalk to wave to the audience.

She later took to her Twitter.com page to revel in her fashion foray, writing: "That was quite a haute couture moment. ... Cinched to the max for the Jean Paul Gaultier show!
